Farm Related & General Cartage:
 Farmers Transport provides a full range of cartage services to and from the farm.
Products carted from the farm include process crops (peas, carrots, sweet corn), cereals, maize, onions, squash, apples and grapes. For those items not transported in field bins Farmers Transport has developed special bulk bins which fit on the decks of the truck and trailer units. The Company is regularly employed as the sole contractor to coordinate and cart a specific product (for example peas for processing).
Product carted farm to farm, or within farm, includes bulk grass or maize silage. Trucks are fitted with special bins which enable a maximum payload to be carted.
Farmers Transport is the largest carrier in the North Island of bulk fertiliser from fertiliser store to farm. Hoist units are designed to access most on farm fertiliser bins and are regularly used for spreading metal on farm tracks / accessways. At four locations (Hastings, Central HB, Dannevirke and Eketahuna/Masterton) the Company operates specialist fertiliser ground spreader units which are in demand from dairy farmers and cropping/pastoral farmers with easier contoured properties.
Farmers Transport has the fleet capacity to provide a comprehensive transport service for farmers, large scale growers and processors. Driving and operations staff are familiar with operating conditions experienced on farm plus through operating modern reliable equipment timetables can be met.
Other items carted by Farmers Transport include wool (both from farm to store, and store to store), tractors and other specialist equipment. We welcome any specific enquiry.
